The Power of International Co-operation
The European Sensory Network was founded in 1989 to meet the challenge of the rapidly developing science of sensory analysis within Europe.
The European Sensory Network brings together 24 member organisations acting in 16 European countries, and four non-European countries. This international forum was created for discussion and collaboration among the best research institutions involved in sensory and consumer sciences and to ensure methods were practical and accessible to the industry. All ESN members have a high standard of competence in sensory analysis within their respective countries.
The activities of the ESN cover the following areas:
- meetings to exchange experiences, to raise and discuss methodological questions, to plan for co-operative research
- regular organisation of ESN seminars
- development and testing of sensory and consumer methods
- collaborative research
